11/16” description applies to the thread of the tip holder that connects to the gun and holds the tip into place. The American thread is larger than the UK & Europe although most tips will fit both tip holders. If you have extension poles or any other accessories they may not connect to your gun.
A quick guide is WAGNER is normally 11/16”
And Graco is normally 7/8”
